Meredith and I, in our truly lesbionic exhibitionist fashion, went to the Saybrook Semi-formal together on Friday. It was, somewhat amazingly, amazing, even with people spilling their tequila sunrises and their vodka and cokes all over the floor. The ice cubes were actually quite hazardous. Meredith and I were good little girls, we stuck to Shirley Temples and ice chips.

And we rocked the dance floor.

Dost thou wish to see the magnificence of us? )

So awhile ago, some of you may remember that I got spectacularly drunk on a Monday at my friend Lexi's birthday party. The reason this is important is that it was the first time, all year, that I'd been drunk on campus.

the following are the very hilarious photos of the event in question )

Saturday wasn't nearly so awesome, but it did involve The Goonies and lots of candy and taking my brothers to see "Meet the Robinsons" in 3-D.

It was my father's birthday yesterday, I called him and sang him Happy Birthday and he actually had the nerve to say, "Who is this?" Daddy, you jerk. I went by to see him later though and we sat in the law school conference room eating croissants with tea. He had this empty box and he was hurling it at the trash can repeatedly, missing it EVERY time. Basically my father was throwing a box around a room with three-hundred year old books and paintings and at that brilliant moment the Dean of Yale Law School, one Harold Koh, decided to walk through the door.

BEST MOMENT EVAR!

Also, the fic-of-doom is almost finished. Good Lord. It's going to be ridiculous.

I staffed the Girl Talk concert that Yale's Music Magazine, Volume (of which I am both a writer and a designer), hosted. It was pretty fucking awesome! Now I'm going to fall into bed only to wake up and go canvassing for Joe Courtney, for the ENTIRE weekend, ARG. I'm never going to get anything done.

to whom it may concern . . .I'm in a bad mood. I don't know why.

So I moved in on Friday. That was *ahem* interesting. I knew my dormrooms itself were going to be small, but nobody prepared for walk-in closet size. Literally. Anyway, I love my room-mates. Even the ultra-conservative one who I was a little worried about is really cool. Although she doesn't really believe in evolution. She said, "it all seems to make so much sense in bio, but I'm not sure. Maybe one day we'll know!"

I nearly bit my tongue off trying not to say, "Um, I'm pretty sure we ALREADY do."

But hey, such is life. There are SOOOO many interesting classes to take and not half the time needed to take them. Statistics is a little weird, still need to figure that out.

And Yale is bloody crazy about fire-hazards. Think about something you totally take for granted, I swear we aren't allowed it.

to whom it may concern . . .of course I get a cold just when I'm settling in.
