sweetprince: (YAY!!!)
As y'all might know, this has not been my week. That might be putting too fine a point on it, but whatever. Hell, it can't stay like this forever. So this right now is what's making me happy:

The Outfield - Your Love
David Bowie - Suffragette City
The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop
U2 - Walk On
Windsor For The Derby - Melody of a Fallen Tree
Wreckless Eric - The Whole Wide World

Recs and Pretty Boys below the cut )

Now I'm going to get back to watching Nip/Tuck. I hope you guys are all well.

I probably won't be online very much until next Wednesday, because [livejournal.com profile] cerberos is arriving tomorrow. I'll be armed with my cell-phone, so if you wanna text me, feel free.

I've suddenly found myself with 8,000 projects. And if [livejournal.com profile] memphis86 is blaming me for her WIPs, then I think we need to be honest, and give credit where it's due. IT'S TOTALLY ALL HER FAULT. Turn about is totally fair play.

And because I'm leaving you for a few days, music for those of us who enjoy covers )

Goodness it's weird to think of going back to school. I'm actually really excited. Last year I had a vague sense of dread. I go back and read all the entries that Meredith posted at the beginning of the year and it seemed like she was having such an incredible time, and I am just bad at that. I mean, I was quite literally dying. I think it would have been different with different room mates, but probably not much. Once the whole meeting people thing was over, I enjoyed myself alot more.

My promised men in suits pic-spam, from Christian Bale to regular ole models, to Hayden Christensen )

You guys might not care less, or you might think that the physical existence of me is far too boring, but it's been awhile since I did this, so I figured, hey let's go out on a limb here.
If there's anything about me that you want to see a picture of I will take it. Within reason of course. Climbing into Jensen's backyard might be a little drastic for me.

[livejournal.com profile] thirtysec0nds asked for the pictures of the clothing I got at my latest thrift store run. But is there anything else you want to see? My awesome backless dress? My bitch cat? My red leather tennis shoes? My huge collection of acryllic paints? Say the word I will post it.

The music of first semester, because I'm going to one up Memphis86, damn it )

Anyway, I'm back on the Western Seaboard, and thank god for that. No more mushy strawberries for me. Only the real ones, ya hear? I can't believe summer is going so quickly. But then it always does.

ETA: I have become aware that this somehow posted itself while I was still in the process of uploading. It shall die. The music is there now.

Um, whoops?

Been sort of absent because I've been working my ass off at Nordstrom's. It's a mixture of both the insane and the hilarious and sometimes the down right awful.

Today a woman in a little motorized wheel chair push cart thingy came breezing in the store. While she was zipping along she hooked herself on a swimsuit rack and then just carried the entire thing off with her. Dragged more like. Best of all, inspite of the loud clang and the abrasive noise as she dragged the metal rack stuffed with Diane Von Furstenburg bathing suits across fifty feet of marble, was that she didn't even notice and we, the poor women's active staff, had to chase after her shouting "Come back, for the love of god, before you hurdle through the women's sale shoes and the entire first floor explodes."

Oh what a day.

But [livejournal.com profile] albydarned and I met on Tuesday. And that totally made the world.

Our adventure through Yerba Beuna Park wherein I managed to drop my SLR like a genius )

Meredith and I, in our truly lesbionic exhibitionist fashion, went to the Saybrook Semi-formal together on Friday. It was, somewhat amazingly, amazing, even with people spilling their tequila sunrises and their vodka and cokes all over the floor. The ice cubes were actually quite hazardous. Meredith and I were good little girls, we stuck to Shirley Temples and ice chips.

And we rocked the dance floor.

Dost thou wish to see the magnificence of us? )

So awhile ago, some of you may remember that I got spectacularly drunk on a Monday at my friend Lexi's birthday party. The reason this is important is that it was the first time, all year, that I'd been drunk on campus.

the following are the very hilarious photos of the event in question )

Saturday wasn't nearly so awesome, but it did involve The Goonies and lots of candy and taking my brothers to see "Meet the Robinsons" in 3-D.

[livejournal.com profile] whimsicalwonder and I started a community, [livejournal.com profile] fotojournaliere, for those of us who like to share candid photos that we've taken of nothing in particular.

We're kicking off the community with a post of pictures that we took in March of last year when we got really bored and decided to just go around Stanford with a camera. So all of you on my f-list who are lovers of Stanford Era fic should take a look. Right here.

Come on, join [livejournal.com profile] fotojournaliere, you know you want to!

Eeeew, I've the worst soccer tan ever. I've got a totally bizarre tan on my legs from the combination of shin guards/sock and shorts, and then a jersey/sportsbra tan uptop. Going to Audrey's pool birthday party clearly demonstrated that. I hadn't even noticed how bad it was. Well, I suppose the only consolation I have is that I've always liked stripes.

It was senior cut day today (hence the party), which I suppose only further cements the fact that school is almost over and then we are going off into the great big world. All right, time to break out the Vitamin C graduation song and start crying. Only not really, because I'm ready to leave. High school has lost its charm.

So now that the party is over and it's raining, I'm a little bored. If any of you want to rec me some fics, feel free. I'm open to pretty much any fandom. Oooh, oooh, [livejournal.com profile] aubergine_girl inspired me to do this. Anything about my life you want to see picture of? More insane endeavors with pasta? My Christian Bale cat? The roses I'm so proud of? Just ask and I'll post.

to whom it may concern . . .Concord soccer tournament tomorrow. We're playing as Chile. I'm sorry to any Chilean soccer fans/player, we do not mean to impugn your dignity. We suck, they should have given us Yugoslavia or something.

So, Mum is gone for a week . . .basically I've just been sitting around taking care of my chores and hanging out with Flo. Yesterday, we went all over Stanford Campus and took pictures because we had nothing better to do. Basically we ran around and whoever had the camera made use of it. We took 174 pictures.

We went to One-Acts last night, all of which were brilliant, er except for Noel's. That one was too deep for me. And all the cigarette smoke was really bad. I have an entire rant about that, but I've annoyed enough people with that. Trust me, I have the law behind me on this one *shakes fist at Noel*.

I was at Stanford shopping center with Flo today, so we decided to try on some prom dresses . . .granted I swear I'm going in a suit, but hey, I look good in this one . . .for once . . .

take a look see )

I gave Mr. Struckmeyer my writing piece, only to reread it with Flo and realize it's um er . . .a little more explicit than I remembered. I know he won't be bothered, but he's going to make SOOO much fun of me. Flo really wants to be there now so that she can laugh at me. Ah, the friends I have.

I'm off to make a CD for Jessica.

to whom it may concern . . .hmm, I have absolutely no desire to do anything at all . . .
