Flo totally finished off my Wes Anderson collection, as well as got me But I'm A Cheerleader, Frequency, SPN Season 2, and SGA season 1 (so all you people who claim it's excellent, I will find out for sure). I suppose it's payback for the fact that she forgot my birthday last year. But DUDE, still!

I was so freakin' tired yesterday though, totally zombified. My ipod is broken again, and my mom hadn't cleaned the bathroom in ages so it was a task I took upon myself. The most physically taxing thing I have ever done, more than running liners and or doing Italian PK, was putting in the damn shower curtain liner. And THEN it was my night to cook. I added too much marjoram to the tomato sauce, so that was an adventure.

My mom felt so bad about making me cook that she decided to take me to the movies, where she promptly told me I was in need of therapy. Ugh. I'm going to Norway or Spain or somewhere awesome next Christmas, and I'm going to do it without her!

Katie's, that is to say, [livejournal.com profile] brokenbacktango's mix arrived today. It was so unexpected and lovely, since I haven't sent her hers yet (don't hate me) and even though I'm very very very disturbed by the fact that she prefers a WALLFLOWERS cover of DAVID BOWIE, I shall enjoy it anyway.

And then Edward's group for the YPMB scavenger hunt asked me to make them a mix CD, and then Caity was like, "WHAT! You're MY suitemate! You must make me one!"--so basically I'm being fought over by the marching band for music. It's kind of awesome.

Quick shout out to [livejournal.com profile] maypirate, I have no idea what's going on, which is why I didn't feel I had the right to comment, but feel better, okay, darling?

Hadn't meant for this new layout to be so Christmassy, nevertheless it is. Ah well. It's been a mellow Christmas. Which is strange for me. Usually I'm surrounded by 5000 people: assorted relatives, hangers-on, and munchkins. This year I'm actually spending Christmas with my mother. Which is odd because the two of us are atheists, so we do our whole little gift-giving thing, but it doesn't have the same gravity. Because we're dutch we give each other joke gifts more than real ones.

Last night we went to the Village Pub for our Eve dinner. I'm used to being mistaken for being older than I am, but the fact that they gave me alcoholic egg nog (it came with the meal) rather than the kid's version that I know they were passing around to everybody else who looked reasonably close to me in age was a little ridiculous. I'm turning 19 next week, not 25!

eh *shrugs*.

Merry Christmas all!

Because you all want to know the many gifts I have recieved, or maybe I just want to be able to look back and figure out where my many and sundry possessions came from. Actually I don't need my journal to help me with that, I already know. )
