I finished HP7 possibly ahead of schedule, because I simply did not sleep. I was having the worst cramps ever. And aparently it's not just me. My f-list seems to be suffering the evil plague of the uterus. You have my sympathies and condolences.

Colleen and I hung out on Friday, HP releasing day, possibly because of our mutual refusal to go there at midnight. Neither of us is very good with lines or with crowds of people. Instead we went to the Palo Alto Film Promenade on University. I think it's the first year they've done this. It was completely whacked out. But it was nice to walk along University at night with the entire street blocked off. We found ourselves at Rasputin music ooing and aahing over very cheap music prices. Neither of us bought anything.

And then I sat down yesterday and read Harry Potter. I think it's my favorite book, yo, even in spite of my disappointment at the ending. I finished it and I STILL couldn't sleep, so I took a scalding shower and managed to fall asleep inside it--I was that tired. But after I finally got to bed I felt alot better. I only woke up because I was drowning in sweat from all the blankets I'd packed on. And then I made Greek food for dinner. Homemade Pita, Tzatziki, and Greek herbed meatballs. So overall I count this day a win. Especially because [livejournal.com profile] memphis86 and [livejournal.com profile] mickeym are so awesome.

In the next couple of days you guys should expect fic and another music post. Possibly a picspam of pinstripes. Since I adore them so much.

I went to the midnight showing of OOTP with [livejournal.com profile] torturemysoul and then got swept up in the merry hijinks of the parking garage. Erica's sister's car died. I attempted to jump it, but only succeeded in being blasted by the horn. The positive aspect of the car dying-ness? I never would've noticed my cell-phone was missing without it. So thank you, battery. And then I drove home at 4:45 in the morning. All told, it was a grand adventure. Even with bad jokes about Mulan.

WUNNERFUL MUSIC BELOW THE CUT ALL FOR memphis86--although I would be overjoyed if you'd come and grab some too. )

Title: Revenge Is A Drink Best Served
Disclaimer: Still don't own Harry Potter. I'm working on it though. What with two hostile take-overs pending. By the time I'm done we shall have manditory slashy sex scenes every chapter. Just kidding. Warner Bro., assorted suits, and J.K. Rowling are a little out of my league.

Pairing: HP/DM

My Opa, grandfather in Dutch, went from being perfectly lucid a few days ago to not being able to tell where he is. They can't get any flights back to the Netherlands though, it's very troublesome. My Oma and my mom spend the entire time alternating between crying and whispering while trying not to show him how worried they are. They're failing. Some easter huh?

Not to mention the landlord had Cerilio tear the yard apart. He pulled out all the roses, a gardenia, and a large climbing clematis.  It looks like a warzone with assorted potted plants to cheer up the soldiers.

The stat project has completely fallen apart. John hasn't sent me what he's supposed to. I e-mailed my teacher about my group's inability to function without a boot to the arse, hopefully she'll give us an extension.

On the bright side, I wrote a Harry Potter oneshot, would anybody be willing to beta, because Colleen takes too freakin' long? The only reason I'm still waiting on her for the second savage garden chapter is because she's already done half of it and it would be a shame to lose all the work.

to whom it may concern . . .I want to learn Icelandic. It is, after all, perfectly useless, and therefore perfectly worth knowing. I know the language has a name. I forget what it is. You take my meaning anyway.
