Dearest Flist, I have regained equilibrium
Well dolls,
It appears in my mope-fest of doom, I've really missed out on what's going on with you. I tried catching up with my flist today, and I was like 180 or something entries back before I found one that I'd read before. EEEK.
So I've gained some new friends and some lurkers, I see. Hows about you come out of the woodwork and tell me about your favorite sodas and fanfic cliches, the songs your currently obsessed with, what that scandolous girl at work said last week? I wish to know.

The songs I'm obsessed with right now are from HSM so we don't talk about those. Saybia is in my CD player, so let's say that instead :)
Whenever I hear people mention bears, I yell "bears are godless killing machines".
And now you know all about me :P

I must hear the story that started this godless killing machine shouting, because I highly doubt you've been doing that since birth. Or have you?

I take it you don't know Stephen Colbert? He has a show, The Colbert Report, on Comedy Central and he came up with words such as 'truthiness' and 'wikiality'. If you're going to watch the Emmys tonight, keep an eye out for him, he's presenting an award with Jon Stewart.

any excuse, lol
There aren't many fanfic tropes I like that are cliches because something being cliche tends to preclude my liking it, but I do love tragic horror type fic, best friends becoming lovers, enemies in love (despite the fact that that actually doesn't seem to happen at all in real life) and telepathic sex. Where they're having sex and sharing thoughts/feelings, not where they just like, think sexy things at each other.
annnnd I can't stop listening to Fad Gadget- Collapsing New People; Patrick Wolf- Get Lost; Ani Difranco- Good, Bad, Ugly; The Postal Service- The District Sleeps Alone Tonight & M. Craft- Dragonfly. I should upload some of them, I think you'd like the.
Re: any excuse, lol
Telepathic sex=WONDERFUL. The first time I saw that done was in a book by Mercedes Lackey, its why I like crazy psychic characters so much, oh the possibilities! Enemies in love. YUMMY. I don't think it happens in real life either, but for some reason we seem to think it does or there wouldn't be so many damn movies about it!
I have the Ani DiFranco Song, but feel free to upload the rest. I'm a big fan of music, and you're probably right about liking them.

I've just rediscovered Tegan and Sara (today) but before that it was Eisley and before THAT it was Hellogoodbye.
I love rootbeer and fics where people have sex. I'm a simple soul really :)

I like all of those bands you mentioned. Tegan and Sara was my favorite band in high school and I had a short and sweet summer fling with Hellogoodbye.

Let's see:
I don't really drink soda, never have, but I sort of like orange soda in very small quantities, sometimes.
I love love love amnesia!fic, bodyswap, the BTVS thing where someone gets split into two people. And I have a huge epistolary and dialogue kink (like, I will read stories I would never otherwise touch if they are epistolaries). And snark. I like my porn with lots of snark.
I'm pretty much obsessed with flockprinter by buddy wakefield (http://www.sendspace.com/file/8pl48v) right now - I think it is seriously one of the most romantic songs ever, even though it is actually a poem. Also, Teenagers by My Chemical Romance (http://www.sendspace.com/file/tb2nv9), which is something I would pretty much never admit outside of fandom (which maybe I need to work on -- I'm sort of a music snob, sometimes).
Scandal -- I don't know. In my RL everybody is sleeping with everybody else because they're all sex-positive feminist lesbians between 18-35,and that's just what they do, but there is actually a surprising lack of drama this week. Which I choose to take as a good thing. *grins*

SNARK IS TRES BRILLIANT. Also, angry wall sex. I am determined to have
BTVS thing where people get split up into two people? I have never read such a thing? But leaves multiple possibilities for fic? POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?
YAY, MUSIC, I was mucho excited, since whenever I come back to school I stop getting new stuff. WEE!
Wow, your RL sounds complicated. The most complicated thing in my life is that the former QPAC coordinator refuses to turn over the e-mail list to me, so that I can e-mail people. He ran away from me in the dining hall. I cried.

I think we technically wrote it in various chatlogs. I should just compile them together, when I need to cheer you, Twin.

I'm currently moaning about forgetting that tickets to BuzzFest XX went on sale yesterday, and only lawn seats are left now. I'm buying them anyway, because, hello, Chris Cornell is the only Chris who ranks higher than Chris Kane on my to-worship list. And if he's on the same stage as Smashing Pumpkins and Fuel and Finger Eleven, I'm willing to sit in the grass or dirt or mud. So. Yeah.
My current read is Thermopylae: The Battle that Changed the World. No, not for a class or anything, just because history is cool.
I love any fic that has Jensen-in-glasses, boys dressing in suits or makeup, or dominance/possessiveness issues.
I think I'm gonna go self-medicate with another mug of extra strong coffee and a viewing of In My Time of Dying with commentary.

That's cool. I might major in history. So I definitely understand.

My fave cliches are bodyswap, genderswap, *cough*cough*POSSESSEDSAMMY*cough* historical AU's and sex pollen. Oh how I adored you for throwing sex pollen into The Flower Gleams (http://dark-reaction.livejournal.com/88061.html). And, omg dude I just read this tonight, haircut fic (http://ignited.livejournal.com/392053.html). There needs be more.
Songs I am obsessed with at the moment, hmmm well I'm in awesome music-overdose thanks to ACL, but more about that later. Currently, Oh Comely (http://www.sendspace.com/file/9bpshx) by NMH is driving me to tears and smiles. I need to upload you a happy mix, but here's the tracklist thus far:
Tell me what you already have, so I don't repeat myself too much.

I'm working on Possessed!Sammy right now. Sam just started singing along to Madonna and dancing around, Dean is mortified. It's kind of excellent. Also, I seem to have written all of those cliches, or they are at least works in progress. I am sensing another brainchip moment.

I don't remember what music I've been listening to recently, probably a lot of Emilie Autumn and I have soundtracks for "The Fountain" and "Rescue Dawn" waiting for some kind of salient moment where they will be most appreciated or something.
So tired, need more donut.

Uhh....
........yeah I'm drawing a blank there too. I just can't think of anything because my fandoms are so inconsistent and different things attract me to different fics at different times. Usually I like fics where my favorite character doesn't suck, or does something awesome. But I like this non-suckery and awesomeness to be presented in different ways.
Although I gotta say, anytime and anywhere rimming comes up, I immediately want to punch the author and run away screaming because hell no. Heeeeeell no. Ironic, then, that I'm LJ-married to the person who runs
