Check you on the flip side

Just arrived in Chicago, the city of my birth, along with other less important things. Dad got two rooms in this awesome hotel, the Sofitel on Water Tower, and I think I'm in love. They offered food at the door. Food at the door. FREE.

And we're going to Tucci Benucci for dinner. Unbelievable. I haven't been there since I was seven. It's in the Bloomingdales Building. When I was little I used to climb up the sides of the giant circular window and slide down. I have learned a little too much caution in life to attempt that now.

Sounds great, Lauren. *hugs* :)

I went running through Millenium Park actually. I remember what that whole thing was like before it was even there.

I love the whole Millenium Park area. I think I hadn't been over there since it opened, or at least I don't remember it, but it really pleases me.

It's okay, Lauren! Being in love with a hotel doesn't make you any less of a person! Someday our country will accept your feelings and legalize human-building marriages! Have faith!

...yes. I can't picture this window thingy but it sounds pretty cool.

I think I liked the first half of Batman Begins better than the second half, but explosions were never really my thing (I know, I'm a ninny). But good lord, Christian Bale. I think our next endeavor should be converting him to a religion that encourages polygamy. Actually, you do that, and I'll work on inventing a love potion. Then we'll be all set.

I hope Chicago and its inhabitants are treating you well...I'll look forward to your, um, anecdotes and/or diatribes upon your return. (good luck?)

IT WAS THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED I EVER SLEPT ON.

I feel the same way. Although Dr. Crane is just so much fun. Especially the way he died. Hah. Anyway, C-Bale, I think he should just walk around without a shirt at all times. And really low slung pajama pants. That would make me VERY happy.

Chicago is fun. No diatribing yet.
