Art Post: Brad/Nate, Model AU

So I started this last night as procrastination for working on my senior thesis, and now it's not really done exactly, but I finished it to the best of my ability, because I actually have to do my work. Hah.







So I basically had to take a step back from this. You can see how obsessive I was getting about the pants and Brad's leather jacket. OOOOPS. Points if you can figure out what ACTUAL Hugo Boss editorial this was taken from.

ETA: I figured I'd go back and fix Stark's shoes, and his face. Ahem. Maybe one day I'll go back and do his left hand better. And his jacket. And then Brad's hair. GARG. This thing is driving me insane!

Also for some reason I can't explain photobucket keeps resizing the image. It's v. strange.

Wow, I really love that! I'm amused, because Nate looks exactly like Stark Sands, smiling like that - SS looks so different in character, and it makes total sense that model!Nate would look more like Stark. Well, it makes perfect sense in my head! *g*

I love the pose too, the togetherness of it.

Ahahah, it was just because the only reference I had of Stark with his head tilted that way, making a non-upset face was a publicity shot. So he looks a little rounder around the edges in a way that he didn't in GK.

ETA: I have now edited it so that he doesn't look so around around the edges. He doesn't look quite so effing young now.

The tablet has basically allowed me to blow up their faces so that I can work in very small detail. Nate still isn't right. SIGH. I'm really glad you liked it though!

That jacket, OMG totally worth every second you spent on it, I can FEEL the leather, so soft! And Nate's all smirking fondly, and Brad's gazing raptly despite himself. :D

And I actually love Brad's hair--it's all stylized, like it's been sunbleached to whiteness and then gelled to perfection, like a good model should have.

Jean-Francois called "Take five! I can't fucking believe it. The camera's fucked up." He snapped his fingers and two assistants appeared, cooing and clucking over the digital SLR that had breathed it's last gasp.

Brad's hand was still pressed to the wall behind Nate's head, and he leaned and caught Nate's rouged-up lower lip between his teeth. Nate laughed and levered himself away, pressing his hips back against the concrete.

"Ohmygod, models that actually like each other," Jean-Fracois said, hands on his hips, while the assistants removed the useless camera from his sight.

Nate snorted. He gripped Brad's arms tighter. "I like you less when you misbehave," he said against Brad's cheek. Jean-Francois had located another camera and was bitching at the lighting people. Nate winced as the key-lighting was brought up high enough to be blinding.

"What are you going to do?" Brad asked, dryly. "Punish me? You would be the last person."

Jean-Francois snapped at Brad to tilt his head more, interrupting what Nate was about to say.

"Fine, go change," Jean-Francois said at last, snapping again for somebody to hand him a water bottle.

As they walked back to the rolling racks of clothes, Nate knocked his shoulder into Brad's and then pushed ahead. "It's on now," he said, tossing his $800 jacket back in Brad's face while a stylist squeaked in shocked horror.
