Fly By The Seat of Your Pants

What did you want to be when you were little? When I was very little, I had a friend, Emily, who wanted to be a writer, so I said I'd illustrate her books for her, because we couldn't imagine books without pictures in them. Funny how today I've taken her dream and made it mine!

So pretty! :)
I wanted to be an archeologist. :P Never went any farther than about 12 though. :P

Ah, well, when I was really little I wanted to be a ballet dancer.

HOMG adorable. So cute!
I wanted to be a cardinal. As in, Cardinal Richeleu. I had a slight obsession with the Three Musketeers when I was wee, what can I say. I'm not sure what upset me more, finding out that girls can't be cardinals, or the fact that cardinals pretty much don't become prime ministers wielding close to absolute power anymore.

See, I wish I was interesting enough to have wanted to be something like that. I think I might have entertained brief notions of being Catwoman, because Michelle Pfeiffer's costume was so awesome.

AWE, SO CUTE!!

I've wanted to be a Paleontologist as long as I can remember. Oh well. Although I did also want to own an ice-cream shop for a while. Who could resist free ice-cream whenever you want it!!

I am not so much a fan of the ice cream. BUT, I can understand nevertheless.

Aww, you are so cute (Haha that so looks like a dress my mom would put me in). You're one of those people whose face looks pretty much identical to their face as a kid. You can definitely tell it's you.

(also, I love the LOVE, EN LAUR on the card. Hahah, so cute)

Ach, god, the 90s and the shoulder pads. I had so many dresses like that. I was a really girly girl, but I wore shorts underneath always because it was really important for my dad to play sports, so I used to wear a dress and still go to soccer and basketball practice.

Lol, I wanted to be Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. I figured that, since we had the same name, I would have a head start on landing that role. I had a thing for that play when I was wee....

I've never liked it. Perhaps because I grew up in a household that thought that musicals were the devil embodied on earth.

You're adorable - very much a younger version of you. I had no idea you had blond hair!

At 6 I'm not sure if I still wanted to be a paleontologist or not. I know that video store clerk had never really entered into it, though...

I was blonde until I was 14. Funny because now it's so dark. But it's getting lighter.

I wanted to be a bank president, because they made a lot of money. I also wanted to be a "punk rocker" (for a value of "punk rocker" that basically meant Cyndi Lauper or Madonna, as this was the early 80s), because they were women who could, it seemed, do anything they wanted.

I definitely had Madonna fever after I saw A League of their Own.

I wanted to be Wonder Woman. I still kinda want to be Wonder Woman. I also wanted to be an actress. Actresses got to try on all kinds of jobs via their roles-- and that way I wouldn't have to chose just career.

I wanted to be an actor... pretty much from age 2 until college, actually. But I couldn't stand watching myself on video and I got distracted by film production classes and writing.

That's a great picture of you. You look like a cute little kid but you have some attitude underneath.

As for me, I always wanted to be a waitress when I grew up. It combines my love of wearing aprons and being close to food at all times.

OMG YOUR DRESS. I remember wearing ones pretty much exactly like that.

I used to want to be an illustrator, until I realized I couldn't draw. It's pretty fabulous that you're sticking with it!
