Art Post: Um, I know I should be working on big bang

All of you know that rumor going around about the McCoy/Padalecki nuptials being in mortal peril, I'm sure, but perhaps not all of you know that memphis86 and I joked that the cocktail waitress that Jared slept with had famous green eyes and pouty lips. And Mem, vile enabler that she is, was like WRITE IT, and I sat there and said AHAHAHAH, like I'm not struggling with prepschool!Jared the genius idiot already. But then I started writing it. And then, OHMYGOD, I started arting for it.

Admittedly I was experimenting with a technique that I intend to use for my two bigbang authors, so if they like the way this came out, than their art just might agree with them.





ONCE AGAIN Jensen's face is all wonky. I have no idea. I can't help it. I have never struggled with somebody's face so much before in my life, and given that I draw it so frequently I don't understand why he must constantly FOIL me. THAT JERKFACE.

Anyway, Jared's in a suit because in my fic he's 9 to 5 kind of dude, and Jensen is...*sob* a playwright sacrificing his dream to the petit bourgeoisis world of serving alcohol. And Sandy has yet to make an appearance. But I'm sure her rage at her cheating husband will be spectacular.

Holy shit, that's good. Experimental technique is a go. Their hands look great. Love the positioning of their bodies, and the shading is a really nice effect. Lovely.

I always amaze myself at being good at hands. I didn't used to be, and then it just clicked into place, feet and faces are a super duper problem though. Anway, that's quite a compliment coming from you.

Oh LAUREN. This is really, really lovely! I really like the way you've drawn the hands against the wall, and Jared's face sort of sliding into the curve of Jensen's neck. The experimental technique, really, really works out well! I love the shading, the way it creates depth like with the rumples in the shirt.

Pfft. Glorified photocopying, you mean. Your pictures are always in very active poses, like the characters have been captured frozen in a moment of time. And I dunno what you're on about in this one; I could tell easily that it was Jensen and Jared macking on each other.

Well first there was the rumor that the engagement had been cancelled because Jared had been sleeping with cocktail waitresses and strippers, which all of thought was bogus, but then there was this rumor from somebody reliable that the engagement was just off. Honestly, I'm not surprised. I don't know how you can have a healthy relationship if you're so obviously using it for publicity, ie dragging her to cons, announcing your engagement at cons, SO ON AND SO FORTH.
