art post: The things I do when I'm sicky-poo

I couldn't get out of bed today, and there's only so much studying one can do when one doesn't have to attend class, so as a result, I sat down and drew something. It's from the Rockstar!au I did, Like A Glass Half Empty.





I came up with Jensen's outfit all on my own, but Jared's is based on a Roberto Cavalli ad spread. I was paging through a magazine and saw the ginormous belt buckle and a light just clicked on. I really like how their body language turned out (Jared's hand on Jensen's leg was surprisingly easy given my usual *ahem* skill with fingers), but their faces are ALL wrong.

Dear Jensen, why must your nose always defy me, I can't ever figure out how to make it work. Unfortunately Jared's nose worked, it was just the rest of his face that was out of control.

Right, I'll get back to studying modernist film theorists now (not quite so hilarious as the soviets), and writing a word a day on my Prep school!au (I swear that's how slow it's going).

JARED IS MADE FOR CAVALLI. Most of fashionista!Sam's ensembles had at least one Cavalli piece in them. I DON'T KNOW WHY IT'S SO PERFECT.

woot, art! I love the shading on Jareds chest, softer than the rest, was that on purpose or just creative randomness? The whole idea is cool but not how I imagined them when I read the story lol. Jareds hand was easy?? That shirt cuff, the hand (the hand!) around the leg and the boot is really well drawn. Awesome posing/composition. Lol at the background.

AND erm... is that a bulge I see in Jensens crotch? Am I just seeing things?

The things that look the best usually are the parts that are easiest to draw. Hah. It's the stuff that looks shitty that was frustrating and difficult and I made it the best I could manage. I actually don't have trouble with people's hands the way other people do, I have much more trouble with feet and faces.
