What did I do on my first real day back in California? I hiked up a fucking landfill and froze my ass off as my mother went on and on about garbage. Seriously. Your mother collects chotchkes, mine marches up and down dumps and takes pictures, and then has a winter solstice party on it. Yeah, I don't know either. There was champagne and cider and burning things. That was the sum of it, but mostly I was afraid I was never going to have feeling in my fingers again.

One good thing did come out of this however, I have managed to brow beat Nick into having a Flying Circus Marathon! Your lupins or your life! Hope your holidays are going good too, peoples!
