Let's talk about crime

My dad gave a talk on crime at the Rotary Club that my grandparents go to. My father and I don't get along for shit, and yet he's my hero. Have I ever mentioned that my dad, this huge worrier who constantly rales against drugs, supports them being legalized? Anyway it was a great talk, not that I didn't know most of it. Although it's scary to see people like John DiUlio are just walking around unchecked for lying!

Going to babysit with Alison tonight after dinner. Hopefully she'll be feeling better. I'm a genius, her costume has been turning out well thanks to my ideas (not that I'm that clever or anything, just compared to her crazy schemes it probably looks like I could sew 16th century full court dress with my hands tied behind my back!)

Tomorrow it's off to the fireman's carnival, a thing that they just don't do back home. Too bad for you!

p.s. ...it's the oldest story in the world. boy meets boy. boy loses boy and goes to toronto. boy gets back together with boy in london for a happy ending. well, maybe not the oldest story...
