My computer overheated again today. I had to sit it on three bags of ice to even get it to start up again. Damn you, lap top! I think one of the fans is broken. And of course my external hard drive is in another state, along with my bathing suit and season one of SPN. Heh. It would be those things that I miss most.

Fine, computer, you think you can get the better of me? I shall just listen to loud music on my sound dock and overdose on green apple lolly pops all the while IGNORING you.

I didn't know about the unplugging, I shall try that as well. My beloved laptop Dougal always overheats when I watch DVDs on him. And he's not old, he's vintage.

I have a very similar coping mechanism, though. I usually get very frustrated and huffy and ignore the problem until it goes away.
