Ngh! I love how you translate the same officer/enlisted issues from their reality into this AU but with even more barriers and angst. Poor Nate, who can't quite figure out why Brad confuses him so and Brad just being OMG SO FUCKING HOT IMA DIE! Then they do that boy thing where they beat each other up to deal with their feelings and we get the most AMAZING KISSING because you RULE at that shit. The ending is such a punch, too, where Brad feels like he needs to get back in his place and Nate doesn't want that but can't deal so he RUNS AWAY! I hope Brad sacks it up and goes after him eventually. :D
