Did I do good? Or did I just make the next few days hell for myself. POSSIBLY BOTH.

You know what seems like a good plan? Obsessively working on a piece of fanart for hours on end when you should be working on your Hellenistic paper or reading crappy Raymond Chandler or maybe even the screenplay up for workshop this week. These all sound like excellent ideas. That is not what I did however.

I decided to draw hipster Jared and Jensen from my fic Made For Walking.





I have to say, that is the best I have EVER done on Jensen's face. Usually I puzzle and puzzle at him and he still ends up looking like somebody totally random. Once, I swear, my rendition of him looked like Daniel Dae Kim. SO ANNOYING. Clearly all I needed to do was get him a mohawk.

Jared's not that much taller than Jensen, because they're only seventeen or so. Couple more years though, and Jensen'll be eating his dust.

Also, I wanted to draw Jared in a ballcap like the one he wore in the story, but I couldn't find any good source pictures. The last thing we ever want in these situations is for me to experiment.

Finding a good source for Jensen's facial expression turned out to be really difficult, because I really wanted him to look confrontational. Boys need to stop being so friendly. As for Jared, I did take tremendous delight in lovingly delineating his neck. V. true.
