Awhile ago
shoshannagold prompted me to do a Generation Kill mix. At the time I'd already had one, sort of half-assed, and I thought I had a fic to go with it. But that sort of disintegrated into a pile of dust, so I decided what the hell, it's just sitting there. So I figured I'd finish it and post it. Without further ado, I give you a Brad/Nate mix.

17 Songs, 67 Minutes, 94.8 MB
It sort of tells a story, first of struggling in Iraq and realizing that the only stable thing they can actually sit and point to is each other, and then leaving, and feeling like that entire lifeline they've come to depend on has dissolved or broken. And FINALLY one of them or both of them either suffering so much or more likely Poke or Ray intervening and forcing them together. WOO!
The song by Muse seemed particularly apt for this relationship:
“Undisclosed Desires” by Muse
I want to reconcile the violence in your heart/I want to recognize your beauty's not just a mask/I want to exorcise the demons from your past/I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart
