I think I have been waiting my entire life to read Sixteen Candles fic. Or, you know, at least since I first saw the movie when I was thirteen.

This was terrific - a really interesting look at what's going on in Jake's head, which is cool 'cause he's a bit of a non-entity in the movie, as well as catch-your-breath adorable because they're both such teenagers.
