I really liked this story, and I say that even though my friends like to say I have multidar (rather than say, gaydar) because I know a half dozen people who are multiple, including my wife, my best friend, and my former roommate. So yeah, I deal with the details of DID on a daily basis, and so I usually roll my eyes and scoff when someone tries to write it. But you captured the tone of it, without making it sound like every multi system is a textbook case, and of course stereotypically non functional.
Yeah...I could go on, bcause there was a lot I liked about how well you handled it, but I don't want to ramble. Though, I do wonder, do you think a multi has to integrate in order to have a healthy relaionship? Or was that a plot device? I ask because most systems I know (including my wife) chose not to integrate, (for long complicated reasons) but do still have deeply meaningful, healthy relationships. So of course, my brain says the end you wrote was lovely, but I wonder if they could have made a go of it, if he hadn't.
Crap, I rambled after all. Sorry about that. Thank you for sharing such a great read. I also really loved your Dean characterization,
Nice job
