I came here on the recommendation of my mate, layne76, who tells me this is her comfort fic and I now know why. This is simply gorgeous. I loved each little insight into the family Winchester, the slow revelation of Dean/Sam and how even in this AU it felt so right, so natural, so them. And the end blew me away. The image of Dean turning and running towards Sam warms me deeply.
